Why you shouldn’t feed cats fish

Fish should be thermally processed before consumption (stewed, boiled, baked, etc.).

You can feed cats fish no more than once a week.

Another misconception: cats should be fed fish with bones to strengthen their teeth and bone system.

Mistake: Bones are sharp and can damage the gastrointestinal tract.

A bone can get stuck in the throat, and you may not immediately notice this fact. In this case, the cat simply refuses to eat but does not show signs of anxiety.
